Estonian Council of Environmental NGOs (EKO) is an informal politically independent cooperation network that helps environmental activists jointly achieve the environmental protection goals that are important for all of us that was formed in 2002. Until now EKO members have made joint efforts mainly to make Estonian forestry, agriculture, and energy policies and planning decisions more environmentally friendly.
Today ten non-governmental environmental organisations belong to the council: Baltic Environmental Forum, Estonian Fund for Nature, Estonian Green Movement, Estonian Ornithological Society, SEI Tallinn, Estonian Seminatural Community Conservation Association, Tartu Student Nature Protection Circle, Estonian Students Society for Environmental Protection “Sorex”, NGO Läänerannik, Society Against Nõmme Road.
